Main Responsibilities
Head Chef for an expanding chain of Pan-Asian restaurants:
1. managing kitchen to deliver top quality Pan Asian style cuisine
2. ensuring kitchen maintains the same quality and high standard as other restaurants within Group
3. Prepare top quality Pan-Asian food
4. delegate daily running of kitchen efficiently and responsibly to ensure most efficient use of staff/resources
5. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
6. Showcase specialist cuisine in front of customers and prepare specialist food
Person Specification
1. 5 years experience in head chef/executive chef role although prepared to consider anyone with 3 years relevant experience and proven track record working for a similar type/size of business.
2. Ability to speak Mandarin and use Chinese word processors to liaise with company directors, wholesale food suppliers and staff. Cantonese helpful, although not essential.
3. Experience of traditional and authentic Asian cuisine, preferably Chinese cuisine
4. Ability to work under pressure
